In The Garden

Gardening and I are like a struggling romance.
I love gardens.
I love the colors and the textures.
I love the excitement of the first peek of a seedling.
I love the fresh growth after a steady rain.
I love the health it produces!

I'm not so fond of weeding.
I'm really turned off by ICKY bugs---
especially BIG, green tomato worms
and slimy slugs!
No!
On second thought, the tomato worms are the worst!
Nothing sends me far away from my love like those HUGE, ugly, green aliens!

Yet, the garden grows on.
And after my loyal husband defeats those green monsters,
I return to the romance.
I'm not looking forward to the invasion of those enemies
but for now, I'm enraptured by the beauty
of being in the garden again.

Dizzy!

Sometimes life is like riding a tire swing.
You have to hold on tight and enjoy the ride.

And when it finally stops spinning around,
you're left so dizzy
that you can't help but to laugh!

Question is:
Do you want to get back on the swing again?
;o)

The "Cow Way"

We live in rural America.
Our location allows us to have multiple routes
by which we can travel on our way home.

The girls have a favorite route they refer to as
the "Cow Way".
There is one particular intersection where I almost always hear,
"Can we go the "cow way", pleeeeeease!"
Today, I acquiesced to their request (name that movie!)
and they were rewarded!

This is why it's called the "Cow Way".

There are often cows in a beautiful, picturesque pasture (as opposed to the usual flat, drab lot) on this route.

And today the cows were joined by calves.
Isn't Spring wonderful?
Ok! Ok! It can be a little itchy too!
But it's still far more desirable than winter in my book.
"Wha' choo lookin' at, Willis?"
